Does your cat wobble or walk like a drunk? It is a common complaint from owners of senior cats. I’ve seen it in very young cats too, but there is a huge difference between these two age groups, and that difference will surprise you.
Older cats are far more likely than a very young cat to get better from hind leg weakness! Well, in my personal experience as a chiropractor and energy healer anyway. Here is one of my first videos about one such case.
Why do some older cats develop hind leg weaknesses?
First, it is rare for cats to be diagnosed with disc problems as compared to dogs. So, something else is causing the interruption in mind-body communication. My experience is neck troubles, which are usually undetected, lead to interference in the nerve system and the chi system with resulting weakness in the hind legs. Here is another video of an older cat wobbling when it walks.
If you’ve watched enough funny cat videos on YouTube you have seen a startled cat running headfirst into a window, door, or wall. That’s how they injure their necks. Not funny.
What about younger cats with hind leg weakness?
The younger cats tend to be more resilient. So, when I see one walking like a drunk, I have learned to think that they have serious underlying conditions like maybe cancer or bruising of their spinal cord and that their time may be short. They should see a vet if you can afford MRI’s and other expensive tests before you do expensive, low percentage surgeries.
For the older cats, my Neuro-Energetic Balancing™ has been very effective in turning on the power in the chi system and improving the mind-body communication like you see in my videos.
