dental cleaning injury in 17 year old dachshund
Leia after several sessions with Dr. Nels

Google says that many of you are searching for dachshund dental problems and treatment information. If you’ve read much of what I write, you’ll know that I don’t parrot the same old garbage promoting the same old products or solutions for common pet issues. Well, in this article I address a related subject about how pet dental care can impact our pets.

I’ve been doing chiropractic and energy healing work for pets since 1978, which is getting close to 50 years! Most often I was called for mobility issues, but also mysterious health issues the vets could not diagnose. I don’t blame them for that. Diagnosis is a tough gig. The Mayo clinic only gets it right about 30% of the time, and people can explain to those doctors what they are feeling and where they feel it.

How does dental care impact dachshunds and other pets?

A few years ago, I had a case where a 17-year-old dachshund named Leia suddenly couldn’t walk straight, was falling over, and was obviously in some kind of misery following an anesthesia free dental cleaning. Julie, her owner, had gone that route because of concerns about the effects of anesthesia on older animals. You can watch a 4-minute video about that and what happened when Neuro-Energetic Balancing™ came to the rescue HERE. In Leia’s case we did a combination of hands-on and guided video sessions to get her through the acute phase of her trouble.

Some more cases of animal care gone very wrong.

I also helped a cat that was unable to use its hind legs after being neutered and a small terrier that was partially paralyzed after a chain store grooming (see video here). In all these cases something done by people who were there to help went awry and resulted in a mysterious health and mobility issue. I didn’t do a better job of diagnosis and treatment than their vets. I found the nerve and energy interference and corrected it with Neuro-Energetic Balancing™ and let the body heal itself.
